Reports say Yao could miss all next season

I would be irresponsible if I didn’t report what Yahoo Sports and the Houston Chronicle are reporting about how Yao may miss next season, and maybe longer.

Here’s Yahoo’s story, and here’s Jonathan Feigen’s story from the Chronicle.

Because Yao is in no pain, I think alot of this may be speculation. I prefer to agree with the statement Rockets’ physician Dr. Tom Clanton made: “The fact he is having no symptoms gives us reason for optimism.”

Pretty depressed...Yao, hes my favorite player to watch since jordan, i love the big guys game and personality..Juss not fair

Needless to say, I am scared as hell. I could´'t bring myself to comment yesterday, and even this morning I'm avoiding any news on this matter, trying not to think about the possibilities.

I was really excited for the next season, now I just want to hear relieving news from Yao and Clanton.

The offficials of the Chinese National Team have to be held fully responsible for this outcome which is not surprising at all.

They think that Yao is not a human being. That is why he is not allowed to have a break throughout the years.

Maybe, what they think right now is that the training camp and international friendlies are more helpful to Yao than treatment.

Yao is only a tool for these officials to please their bosses.

I do not understand why the Rockets did so little to stop Yao in joining the training camps and meaningless friendlies and minor tournaments.

This is a devastating news regardless. Hopefully Yao will not play more than 35 minutes a game next season and has a legit backup center.
