Yao goes up to contest a shot by Washington’s Etan Thomas Wednesday night. Yao scored 25 points, made 7-of-8 free throws, and grabbed 14 rebounds to lead all Rockets in scoring and rebounding. Meanwhile, the Rockets defense clamped down on the Wizards and held them to 33.3% shooting. The Rockets had scoring problems themselves, turning the ball over 22 times and going on a 1-for-8 shooting drought in the fourth quarter.
