On April 17th, 2008, fans of Yao Ming gathered at The Kingdom Builders facility in Houston to honor Yao Ming for an organization called The Leader's Academy.
The facility was incredibly large. This photo doesn't do it justice. Once you get inside, it's easy to get lost. It's hard to explain what it is. Part church, part educational facility, I guess. But it looks like it took alot of money to build, and felt like the size of a Wal-Mart distribution center inside (but much nicer).
