great news. If he improves is 200m times, sun could be a triple gold contender in london but i think thats too optimistic.
Anyone know more abt this wang shun teenager? i read abit that his times are promising for the IM. Given his age and potential to improve, could be 1 to look out for in london and beyond. |

Sun Yang won the 400m at the national with 3 min 42s 31, which is the best time this year.
Two other Chinese swimmers also possess 2nd and 4th best time this year of this event.
A Korean swimmer possess the 3rd best time. |

YEAH....Zhang Lin failed to qualify in the 400 meter free style for 2012 London Olympics.
His coach thought Zhang Lin had been regressing for the past 3 years cos he had been suffering from sudden asthma 突发性哮喘

But it is not the end of the world for him; he still has 2 categories to compete (the 200 meters free style and the 1500 meters free style), but that will be his last chances to qualify for the 2012 London Olympics. |

YEAH......China swimming head coach has some happy headaches.
He is pondering whether he should send the more experienced Liu Zige and Jiao Liuyang or Lu Ying and Jiao Liuyang to represent China for 100 meters butterfly, as the 3 of them all meet the Olympics standard and qualify for selection.
Personally think China should send Lu Ying cos she proved to be better in the short distance, as she had also won in the non-Olympic 50-meters butterfly.
As for Liu Zige, her specialty is the 200 meters butterfly. So probably just let her focus on that instead of taking 100 meters butterfly as well. |
