Allen Iverson is currently in China.
He and a couple retired NBAers (Dennis Rodman, Jason Williams, Scott Pippen and Clyde Drexler) are scheduled to play an exhibition series in Cixi of Zhejiang, Wuxi of Jiangsu and Shenzhen with CBA champion, Stephon Marbury's Beijing Jinyu Capital Steel Ducks.
Might be seeing the success of Stephon Marbury in CBA, Allen Iverson had expressed his interest of joining a championship contending team in the new CBA season. His agent had also disclosed an asking price in the range of US$ 1 ~ 1.5 Million. |

Some photos of Allen Iverson arriving into hotel at Cixi, at a welcome banquet at Cixi on Friday (April 27) and in pre-game warm-up/shoot-around in the game with Beijing Jinyu Capital Steel Ducks in Cixi held last night (April 28 ).
Allen Iverson was basically overwhelmed by the maddening throngs of basketball fans waving his posters and chanting his name when he arrived at the stadium in Cixi for the friendly game against Beijing Jinyu Capital Steel Ducks.

| That's good, because no team in the USA want any part of Iverson. |

Allen Iverson had his first taste of CBA basketball last night when he led the so-called US Legends to beat a severely under-manned Beijing Jinyu Capital Steel Ducks 121 ~ 104.
The US Legends were playing without Jason Williams, Scott Pippen and Clyde Drexler (the former 2 had confirmed they could not make this trip, and Clyde Drexler might be joining them in the next stop of the exhibition series). The team was comprised with Allen Iverson, Dennis Rodman and a couple of unknown NBA/NBDL players.
Beijing Jinyu Capital Steel Ducks was a pale shadow of the team that won the CBA Championship, as they had to play without Randolph Morris (back to USA), Lee Hsueh-Lin (back to Taiwan), Zhu Yanxi and Zhai Xiaochuan (in closed door training with the national team in Hainan).
The game was a close contest in 1Q, until Stephon Marbury took a break by the 4 minutes mark. The US Legends had a 12 ~ 0 run to end 1Q leading 39 ~ 26.
The US Legends took a 8-point lead (64 ~ 56) into 3Q after Stephon Marbury helped his team to reduce the arrears of 18 points in 2Q.
Beijing Jinyu Capital Steel Ducks further reduced the arrears and at one point even took over the lead in 3Q, but fell behind to a 5 ~ 0 run by Allen Iverson in the last minute to end 3Q 92 ~ 87.
Then with Stephon Marbury rested for 4Q, the US Legends torn the young and green Marbury-less Beijing Jinyu Capital Steel Ducks apart by a 23 ~ 8 run to run out winning 121 ~ 104.
Allen Iverson showed some glimpse of his past, had 33 minutes of action, scored 11 points (4/13 FG% 1/3 3-pointer% 2/2 FT%), 6 rebounds and 4 assists.
Stephon Marbury had 9 points (3/12 FG% 3/11 3-pointer%), 2 rebounds and 8 assists. |

Allen Iverson is still an exceptionally popular NBA player in China.
He was once again overwhelmed by seeing some of his diehard fans all dressed in his #3 jersey waiting for him when the US Legends and the Beijing Jinyu Capital Steel Ducks players arrived at the hotel in Wuxi of Jiangsu this afternoon.
After a short break, Allen Iverson and his US Legends team mates were invited to attend a commercial activity thrown by Yuqi Wine to welcome him in the nearby Yuqi township, and again there were hundreds of basketball fans rushed out to greet him.
