So with a living winning streak of 3, Houston Rockets will visit and play with Memphis Grizzlies, before returning to Houston to play a back-to-back against a visiting Orlando Magic.
This game with Memphis Grizzlies is a MUST WIN for the Rockets.
They are now 20W 23L while Memphis Grizzlies is 19W 23L. So beating the Grizzlies will further separate both team by 1.5 games, and further shorten the gap between both Portland TrailBlazers and Phoenix Sun which are currently placed #8 and #9 in the Western Conference respectively.
This is the 3rd time both teams meet this season, with Houston Rockets leading the series 2 ~ 0.
Memphis Grizzlies guards Mike Conley and Sam Young will face a tough challenge in defending counterparts Kyle Lowry and Kevin Martin, as both have burned the Grizzlies badly this season.
Kyle Lowry had a career-high 28 points with 12 assists Dec. 3 and scored 17 with a career-best 18 assists in the second meeting, while Kevin Martin had 28 points in last month’s game in Memphis, then scored 20 of his 34 in the first quarter Dec. 17.

1Q ended. 37 ~ 32. A 5 point lead by the Rockets.
As in the past 2 games they met each other, the game was a high scoring one with both side putting not much emphasis in defense.
The Rockets was shooting the lights out at 63 FG%, while Grizzlies also shot above 50 FG%. |

Rockets bench led by Aaron Brooks played disappointingly. Mis-fired quite a number of 3-pointers, and the Grizzlies just caught up with the Rockets.
Rockets' FG% dropped 10 percentage point to 54 FG%, while Grizzlies maintained at as high as 53 FG%. |
