WHEN???? HOW????
Daryl Morey just said it in front of tens of press/media yesterday on the Media Day that no matter how, by hooks or by crooks, the Houston Rockets is not going to tank this season and going into lottery just to try their luck with the ping-pongs; he will make very effort to ensure the Rockets will make it to the playoff. |

"It's more we're in patient mode," Morey said. "We're trying to add players through trades primarily who help us win now and in the future. It does put a higher bar on the moves. They are a little more rare. We're not trying to move any contracts. Now that we have a pretty good sense Yao will be back next year, definitely the plan is to put a team around Yao for next year, and be as competitive as we can this year."

| This stupid organization still hasn't learned their lesson. U can't build a team around a foundation that's cracked!! Morey's smarter than that..the idiot is mr. alexander. Oh well, he'll still make a shizload of $ by having a team stay "competitive", i.e., making the playoffs and getting bounced. No championship this decade, folks. |

| Yao didn't give this jungle ape enough change for him to get his heroin fix for the day, it seems. |

He said it. Don't be mad. Yao is still in the Rockets future, but he can't opt out of his contract so he won't be as heavy a financial burden. Morey doesn't want the rest of the league trying to overpay Yao. |

as a recap of this thread:
pryuen posts pics of media day
asshole who hates yao bitches about yao
racist chinese dude makes racist post about apes
drno checks in to ***** at pryuen over ****** no one cares about so himself can look like the biggest dumbshit
any of you assholes want to actually talk about the Houston Rockets?
Yao skipped out so he wouldn't be a distraction to the rest of the team while they try to forge an identity for this season. it's likely that Le$ Alexander preferred it that way so he could market the upcoming season's roster. you assholes realize media day is MEDIA DAY right? to market the team.
couple things are clear so far: 1) Morey will try to move Tmac. 2) there's still at least 2 more pieces Morey is looking for. this team with brooks guard ariza battier scola cannot score enough nor defend enough to win. at least 2 of those starter spots are up for grabs |

Rock is saying morey is tanking the season.
i WISH that were true. yao + wall + moneyball (scola, battier, ariza) = championship |
