media days missed: Tmac = 0
Yao = 2
if u are superstar and face of the franchise, u have a duty to attend media day. While not a superstar, Yao technically is the face of the franchise. The Rockets changed their uniforms to reflect the CNT, brought Chinese corporate sponsors, built their slogan around Yao etc. Yao could've taken time off to show support for his teammates and answer a few questions regarding the upcoming season. Instead, he chose to leave without comment and retreat to his parent's. Good thing the Rockets are not the CNT. |

Yeah, so as to be stepped on his injured foot by all the hungry media/press surrounding him ????
reporter: "so yao, how's ur foot healing?" (cue reporter stepping on yao's foot)
Last I remember, yao was 29, not 5 yrs old. Good thing yao's dad ain't handling him w/kid gloves like u. And yeah, the objective of the media is to step on yao's inured foot . Tmac is hated by Houston fans & media, yet he showed his face. That deserves applause. Yao on the other hand, went home to mommy just bc he didn't want his booboo hurt.
Nigga why are you in this forum? Confused sob. |

| Why is this jungle ape still here? Doesn't he need to beg Yao for a buck so he can buy his heroin fix for the day? |

haha.. you guys need to realize nig1's sole purpose is to ruffle the feathers of the die hard Yao fans. The people who actually take to heart anything that nig1 posts are just as sad as him.

He's actually using MEDIA DAY as a comparison between the two.
All you can do is laugh, and move on. |

Rashad McCants

Very weird to waive a guy immediately after the Media Day......for health reason.
Did they have a thorough medical clearance before picking him up?
Or was it due to something more serious, like violation of team discipline, drugs, or some other offenses ???

Rockets Part Ways with McCants
Updated: Tuesday, 29 Sep 2009, 1:55 PM CDT
HOUSTON - Free agent guard Rashad McCants is no longer with the Rockets.
He had been given an invitation to join the team and try to earn a spot on the roster during training camp. McCants, however, is not healthy enough to take part in the workouts, so he is no longer with the team.
However, there is a possiblitiy that the Rockets will revisit bringing McCants back at some point.
McCants split time in 2008 between the Minnesota Timberwolves and Sacramento Kings.
He played his first three and a half years in the NBA with the Timberwolves.
During his career, McCants has averaged 10 points, 2 rebounds, and 1.3 assists per game. |

So Tracy "CryWolf" McGrady NEVER changed.
On the Media Day, he blah blah blah to the media/press that even though decision for his return will not be made until a further MRI on November 23, he will still show up in 1st day of the training camp to be with his team mates.
And in less than 24 hours later, he ate his words and was no-show on the opening day of the training camp.
So a leopard never changes its spots......江山易改, 本性难移..... |

| With any luck McGrady will either not return or be more concerned with stats(his next contract) so that the Rockets lose. Morey has made it clear he's looking to rebuild around John Wall. |
