It was the Houston Rockets Media Day.
And there was no Yao Ming !!!
He was there in Houston Rockets working on his rehab, but sneaked out and went home before any reporters were able to get hold of him.

Well, just a glimpse of Big Yao on the Media Day, sneaking out of Toyota Centre after his rehab to escape from the media/press reporters. His wife Ye Li was there to pick him up home.

WHAT FOR to show up for the Media Day to be hustled and bombarded by the media/press knowing it will still be months before he could return??
He is a low-profile professional, and not like your Peter Crywolf hero Tracy McLady who does not know how to shut his mouth up, and likes to blah blah blah in front of the media and bragged that he is already 99% fit and ready, that he is going to join the training camp, play in the preseason, and will definitely return to play in the opening game of the new season, just to be FLATLY REJECTED by Houston Rockets management and doctors that NO DECISION will be made about his return until a further MRI on November 23 on his knees/legs. |

| a professional shows up on media day and answers his critics. Yao just ducked and dodged like a coward. I got more respect for Tmac flying down here to attend media day then yao who lives in here and doesn't partake. Yao skipped media day b4, so it's not the 1st time. It's Tmac time!! |

Last I remember, yao was 29, not 5 yrs old. Good thing yao's dad ain't handling him w/kid gloves like u. And yeah, the objective of the media is to step on yao's inured foot . Tmac is hated by Houston fans & media, yet he showed his face. That deserves applause. Yao on the other hand, went home to mommy just bc he didn't want his booboo hurt. |
