Just the fact that these are the very first pictures of Yao Ming & Tracy McGrady TOGETHER since Yao Ming's injury justified this to be a separate thread !!!

According to the above sohu article:
- Tracy McGrady lived to his promise, and was hosting a visit of the championship teams of Adidas Street Ball Asia Championship (4 high school kids from Guangzhou, and another 4 kids from the runners team from Philippines) in Houston.
- He took them to the Yao Restaurant & Bar for dinner. The school kids were bringing him gifts.
- He was to treat them to see the Rockets versus the Philidelphia 76ers in Toyota Centre.
- Incidentally, Yao Ming was there at the Yao's Restaurant & Bar with his parents to greet some visiting relatives. And Tracy McGrady's group was put into a VIP room just adjacent to Yao Ming's exclusive room.
- Tracy McGrady did not know that Yao Ming was there. He wanted to go to the toilet, but he could not find his way. He tried to push open the door that was connecting the rooms. The reporters stopped him and told him that Yao Ming was there too in the restaurant. Tracy McGrady was surprised, and he pushed the door open, and grabbed Yao Ming by the neck from the back, and both guys were excited and happy to see each another.
- Yao Ming then came to Tracy McGrady's room, brought along his cousin, who is a great fan of TMAC, and took photos of them together just to please his cousin.

Outstanding thread topic! But I thought in the Chinese culture, the cousin is really considered a niece to maintain the family hierarchy? I guess I was wrong. |

The only one that is related to him is the female cousin in the 3rd and 4th picture from the top. I have seen her at the games played in the TC, she has a square jaw just like Yao. |

according to the post, only one is his cousin; the others are kids from asia, four of which are from the phillipines, which may explain why you think they look souteast-asian. |

YUP.............. Yao Ming only walked into TMAC's room with his cousin for a photo of TMAC and his cousin together, as his cousin is a great fan of TMAC.
I think this is his cousin.
And this is the photo of Yao Ming acting as the photographer taking the photo of them together.
