Lin, Yue, Bateer, all earned NBA championship rings.

Yao only won one playoff series in his career. go figures.

Robert Horry has seven, but who knows him?
Lin and Bateer are both journey men. Sun only played one season.
Yao played eight seasons for one team and retired his jersey there.

Yao's career highlights:
Quote:
8× NBA All-Star (2003–2009, 2011)
2× All-NBA Second Team (2007, 2009)
3× All-NBA Third Team (2004, 2006, 2008)
NBA All-Rookie First Team (2003)
No. 11 retired by Houston Rockets

Yao is one-of-a-century Chinese player.

Most NBA fans who were around in the 90s know who Horry was. He played great in the playoffs, especially in Houston.

Not fair to put Lin and Bateer in the same category. Bateer only played 3 seasons in the NBA, only played in 46 games and barely averaged 10 minutes per game (his last two seasons he only played <5 minutes per game). Lin, on the other hand, played in 480 NBA games, starting 221 of those games and averaging about 25 mpg.

Based on this, Bateer wasn't even a journeyman...he was an NBA hopeful who was never able to prove he belonged in the league...

So we have to make this straight.Yao and Lin are way beyond the other guys.

Actually tho Yao was the No1 pick and hofer, he’s basically a business product NBA used to attract Chinese fans and Chinese market. Yao was way overrated. He’s no greater than Lin at all.

Agree. And Yao was way beyond Lin in terms of his basketball ability relative to his NBA peers.

lmao! Shaq would disagree with you. Yao was the best offensive center in the league when he was healthy.

Yao was never ever the No. 1 center in the league. And his active career was only six seasons. He just played a few games in the last three seasons. He only took Houston to the 2nd round in his last active yr then he was done.
Shaq was just being polite.

All his all-star votes were from China.

Shaq has NEVER been someone who "was just being polite". And in fact, when Yao first entered the league, Shaq was anything but polite to Yao. Yao earned his respect.

I never said Yao was the "No. 1 center in the league". I said he was the best offensive center in the league when he was healthy...

https://www.cbssports.com/nba/news/coro ... er-report/

The CBA initially planned to return April 15 after halting its season in late January due to COVID-19, but after not receiving approval from the government to continue playing, the league decided to delay its return even further to May. Now with this new order in place, which has no timetable on when it will expire, the return date for this season is up in the air. The decision to delay the return of the CBA reportedly stems from concerns made by sports officials, who are wary about the unknown number of asymptomatic carriers who could potentially pass the virus on to someone else.
