The annual Yao Foundation Charity Game will be held tomorrow.

Unlike previous charity games which were held in big cities like Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, this year, it moves to Fuzhou of Fujian !!!

It originally features the China National Team versus Nike Rising Stars. But since the China national team just returned from Rio Olympics, and probably too tired to play, it now features the Chinese Olympians team (i.e. the U23 reserves team of CNT). But Zhou Qi, Zou Yuchen and Wang Zhelin of the CNT had agreed they will come and play.

And with sponshrship from Nike, this year's Yao Foundation Team will be renamed as Nike Rising Stars comprising of the following NBA players, most of them under Nike endorsement:

The proceeds of this charity game will go to Yao Foundation to fund next year's "Yao Foundation Hope Primary School Basketball Season" project, as well as funding the travel and accommodation expenses of school children of Hope Primary Schools in poverty-stricken areas to participate in the 2017 Yao Foundation Hope Primary School Basketball Season.

And Yao Ming was in Fujian already.

Yesterday morning, he went to Quanzhou to take part in a golf charity game, and raised fund for the Yao Foundation.

Then in the afternoon, Yao Ming personally delivered tickets to the home of a Lucky Draw winner, a primary school teacher in Fuzhou City. He was invited to wrap dumplings together with the family. When Yao left, he was gifted a hand-drawing as souvenior from the small daughter of the school teacher.

And early this morning (August 28), Yao Ming led Zhou Qi and Wang Zhelin and the NBA players to visit Minqing County Teachers Training College Preparatory School. Yao Foundation will donate portion of gate receipts from this year's Yao Foundation Charity Game to schools in the typhoon affected areas of Mingqing County and Yongtai County and other places of Fuzhou to help the schools to reconstruct their damaged sports facilities.

MORE photos of Big Yao at this morning visit to the primary school.

His wife Ye Li and daughter Amy were there too.

It looks like the 6-year-old Amy had grown to be as tall as some of the primary school students there.

It has to be the MOST ENTERTAINING AND BEST MATCH EVER of the 6 Yao Foundation Charity Games !!!

The Chinese Olympians played pretty well, and the game was kept very close with lots of fast breaks and dunks from players with both teams not really too eager to win but to entertain.

Chinese Olympians did not start Zhou Qi and Wang Zhelin, but instead Head Coach Li Nan started Hu Jinqiu and Zou Yuchen, with Cui Jinming, Wu Qian and He Tianju.

The Nike Rising Stars started with Zach Levine, Joe Young, Jeramiah Grant, Aaron Gordon and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope.

Chinese Olympians fell behind 30 ~ 33 in 1Q, but led 61 ~ 60 by half time with good plays from Fang Shuo and Tao Hanlin.

Then as usual like previous Yao Foundation Charity Game, players from both side sat and rested, and insteads boy and girl players from the 2016 Yao Foundation Hope Project Basketball Season took over. The kids showed pretty sound basketball fundamentals and great teamwork, and the game was 84 all by end of 3Q.

Then in 4Q, players were swapped frm both teams, with Zhou Qi and Wang Zhelin playing for Nike Rising Stars, and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope for Chinese Olympians. Both sides just exchanged shots, fast breaks and dunks. With 1 minute left, Yuan Shuai scored 2 consecutive treys and the
Chinese Olympians won 119 ~ 114 !!!
