So after 3W 1L on their 4-road game trip, Charlotte Hornets (43W 31L) returned to Time Warner Cable Arena to play the visiting Philadelphia 76ers (9W 66L) again, a team they easily thrashed a few night ago.

With Miami Heat (43W 31L) losing to LA Lakers, and Boston Celtics (43W 32L) losing to Portland TrailBlazers, Charlotte Hornets has now surpassed Boston Celtics to tie with Miami Heat at 4th place and is just 1 game behind 3rd placed Atlanta Hawks (45W 31L).

So playing against the lowly 76ers that they thrashed just a few days ago, could they extend their newly started winning streak and close up the gap between them and the other 2 teams (Hawks, and Heat) ???

Jeremy was DNP in the previous match with Philadelphia 76ers due to a sore lower back. He had been resting and doing Yoga at home and had showed up in Charlotte Hornets latest team practice (but without much physical contest). So it is likely to be a game-time decision whether Jeremy is going to play in this game or not.

Possible line up

Philadelphia 76ers

Point Guard: Ish Smith
Shooting Guard: Isaiah Canaan
Small Forward: Robert Covington
Power Forward: Jerami Grant
Centre: Nerlens Noel

Charlotte Hornets

Point Guard: Kemba Walker
Shooting Guard: Courtney Lee
Small Forward: Nicolas Batum
Power Forward:Marvin Williams
Centre: Cody Zeller

NO SURPRISE as Charlotte Hornets beat the visiting Philadelphia 76ers 100 ~ 91 and rose temporarily to #4 of Eastern Conference.

Jeremy started from the bench, had 24 minutes of action, scored 9 points (4/8 FG% 1/1 FT%), 4 rebounds, 6 assists, 1 steal, 1 block shot, 1 foul and 1 turnover.

Good news: Atlanta Hawks lost to Cleveland Cavaliers 108 ~ 110 in over time.

Bad News: Miami Heat beat Sacramento Kings 112 ~ 106

So Miami Heat (44W 31L) surpassed Atlanta Hawks and jumped to top Southeast Division and became 3rd in Eastern Conference; Charlotte Hornets (44W 31L) became 4th and Atlanta Hawks (45W 32L) dropped down to 5th. Boston Celtics (44W 32L) stayed 6th.

The competition between 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th remain HIGHLY INTENSE and 1 win or loss will make a big difference of which place the above 4 teams become.

And if 7th placed Detroit Pistons (40W 36L) beat 9th placed Chicago Bulls (38L 37L) tomorrow, then Charlotte Hornets will lock in a slot for Eastern Conference playoff, regardless of which place they end up with.

And one more win in the remaining 7 games of the regular season, Charlotte Hornets will make franchise history for winning more than 44 games in the regular season.
