Yesterday morning, CBA All Stars from both teams visited a primary school at the Laiwan District in Guangzhou, played games with the kids, and left them with sports gears from Li Ning & Co., CBA's current endorser.

nice pics! Thanks Pryuen,
YjL and WZL look pretty similar in height. Which means WZL is also a legit 7 footer.

Guo Ailun seemed to be on his way for winning his 3rd consecutive Skills Challenge.
He finished the drills almost effortlessly in 34.4 seconds last night, and cruised into the Final tonight.

The only challenger could be the fast-improving Liu Xiaoxu who also moved into the Final finishing even faster at 34.1 seconds.

Han Shuo and Zeng Lingxu finished in 36.5 seconds and 56.9 seconds respectively, and were disqualified.

In the preliminary round of 3-pointer shootout yesterday, Xirelijiang, Quincy Douby, Marcus Haislip and defending champion Zhu Yanxi all finished with 16 ponts. Zhou Yonggang (15 points) and Michel Maadanly (13 points) were eliminated.
As only 3 contestants can enter the final, there was an additional shootout for 30 seconds.
Both Xirelijiang and Quincy Douby finished with 10 points. Marcus Haislip finished with 6 points. Zhu Yanxi barely made 7 points in his last shot to edge out Marcus Haislip for the final tonight.

In the Dunking Contest, Gao Shang showed his athletism and explosiveness by scoring 50 points (full marks) in his first dunk (imitating what Gerald Green did in this year's NBA dunking contest), and 49 points in his second dunk to advanced into tonight's final.
2 unheralded young players Tian Guisen and Zhai Yi also made it to the Final; The 1.91 M Tian Guisen scored 91 points (47 points + 44 points) and Zhai Yi scored 86 points (42 points + 44 points).
Pre-contest favorites Chang Lin (85 points) and Zhai Xiaochuan (85 points) and Su Ruoyu (69 points) were eliminated.

I like how the CBA turns off the arena light and puts a spotlight on the dunkers. Is there video of Gao Shang in this? NBA should imitate this.
Also, is the CBA 3-point contest similar to the NBA 3-point contest? Scoring 10 points in the Finals seems quite a low score.

Well the CBA 3-pointers shootout is EXACTLY the SAME as the NBA 3-pointer shootout.
It was because there were 4 contestants tied with 16 points in their first trial, so they had to add in an extra round of 30 seconds (instead of 1 minute) in order to eliminate 1 of them so as to have 3 contestants in the final.

And in the Rising Stars Challenge, Wang Zhelin did not disappoint his head coach Wang Zhizhi and his fans by leading the Southern Rising Stars to beat the Northern Rising Stars (coached by Stephon Marbury) 84 ~ 77.
Wang Zhelin showed he is notches above his contemporaries (the rookies and sophomores in CBA); he played with zeal and energy, and was active on both ends of the court, dominating in the interior, and grabbing every rebound in sight; he was VIRTUALLY UNSTOPPABLE as he scored 23 points (9/11 FG% 5/8 FT%), 18 rebounds, 2 assists and 3 block shots to lead his team to prevail over the Northern Rising Stars.
He was undisputedly picked as the MVP of the match.
