Tracy McGrady's debut CBA game is currently in progress.
Qingdao Double Star Eagles played away in Jincheng of Fujian against Fujian SBS Xunxin.
It is also Wang Zhelin's debut CBA game.
1Q ended. Fujian SBS Xunxin led 32 ~ 29.
Tracy McGrady started in this game, and played for 8 to 9 minutes before benched for his breather.
He did quite well, scored 5 points (2/3 FG% 0/1 3-pointer% 1/3 FT%), 1 rebound and 5 assists.
Wang Zhelin proved he's strong enough to play in senior basketball. He scored 6 points (1/3 FG% 4/6 FT%), 3 rebounds and 1 block shot in 1Q.

First half ended. Fujian SBS Xunxin led by 14 points, 62 ~ 48.
Tracy McGrady did not start in 2Q. But without him, his Qingdao team soon fell behind to double digits. He had to return to court to play.
But his team mates wasted too many of his passes, and missed shots which would have turned into assists for TMAC.
Tracy McGrady so far scored 13 points (5/8 FG% 1/3 3-pointer% 2/5 FT%), 2 rebounds and 6 assists.
On the other hand, Wang Zhelin did not do as well as in 1Q; he missed all his 3 shot attempts in this quarter, and only managed to score 2 more points from the free throw lines. He scored 8 points (1/6 FG% 6/9 FT%), 4 rebounds, 1 block shot.

WOW !!!
Tracy McGrady switched to offense mode, turned on his turbo in 3Q, scored 10 points (including 2 consecutive 3-pointers) to lead a 14 ~ 4 run, and now brought his Qingdao team back into striking distance.
62 ~ 66..... only 4 points behind.

3Q ended. Fujian SBS Xunxin led 80 ~ 68.
This Qingdao Double Star Eagles team is just too weak. Their other expat Ilunga Mbenga and other interior Chinese players did not do a good job in protecting the boards, and let Fujian players grabbed alot of offensive rebounds (14 offensive rebounds) to create 2nd chance offensive possessions or putbacks.
They just wasted TMC's effort of pulling the team back into just 4 point gap.

LOL !!!
If this continues like this for the whole season, Tracy McGrady will soon be exhausted.
TMAC erupted in early 4Q, scored 9 of the 14 points of his Qingdao team, and dished another assist for Zhao Yonggang's 3-pointer to lead a 14 ~ 1 run for his team. and took over the lead for the first time.
He is now benched for his breather. Qingdao leads 82 ~ 81.

Dramatic ending !!!
Hero turned villain for TMAC !!!
Tracy McGrady had the ball, but he got it stolen by Zhou Qixin.
Fujian SBS Xunxin immediately called a time out.
With less than a couple seconds left, Sundiata Gaines hit a 3-pointer for the kill..... 95 ~ 92. Fujian SBS Xunxin won !!!

Despite committing a critical turnover which eventually costed the game, Tracy McGrady actually played pretty well.
He almost scored a triple-double of 34 points (14/22 FG% 3/6 3-pointer% 3/6 FT%), 8 rebounds, 9 assists.
Ilunga Mbenga scored a double-double of 15 points (7/12 FG% 1/2 FT%), 10 rebounds and 3 block shots.
Wang Gang was the other Qingdao player to be in double digits with 14 points (5/7 FG% 2/4 3-pointer% 2/4 FT%), 2 rebounds and 2 assists.
For Fujian SBS Xunxin, they had 4 players in double digits.
Will McDonald was their top scorer and rebounder; he scored a double-double of 26 points (10/26 FG% 1/1 3-pointer% 5/7 FT%) and 12 rebounds.
Sundiata Gaines scored the match-winning 3-pointer, and scored 18 points (6/17 FG% 2/6 3-pointer% 4/5 FT%), 7 rebounds and 4 assists.
Wang Zhelin got at least 3 of his shots blocked by Ilunga Mbenga, scored only 11 points (1/10 FG% 9/13 FT%), 6 rebounds and 1 block shot.
Zhou Qixin, who won the game for Fujian when he stole the ball from TMAC, also scored 11 points (5/8 FG% 1/2 FT%), 5 rebounds and 4 steals.
Exciting nail-biting game nevertheless.
