[color=red]Last night (October 11, 2011), there was this 2011 China Top Ten Awards For Sports Personalities held in Xiangshan of Ningbo.[/color]

[color=darkred]This is the 6th time the China Top 10 Award is held since 2004, and the award is the equivalent of the prestious Laureus Award presented out to world class athletes. As with Laureus, China Top Ten promotes the use of sport as a tool for social change and celebrates sporting excellence.

Laureus World Sports Academy Chairman Edwin Moses and Laureus Ambassador Robert Baker were alos there at the award ceremony as Special Guests of Honour to present awards at the China Top Ten awards ceremony.[/color][/size]

[color=red]A total of 12 awards [/color][color=darkred]were presented last night at the China Top Ten award ceremony, with the winners to a great extent chosen by an internet vote by Chinese sports fans. [/color]

[color=darkred]Li Yongbo, the badminton national coach, recieved the award on behalf for Lin Dan while Sun Haiping, Liu Xiang's coach, recieved the award on behalf for Liu Xiang.[/color]
