So after a clean sweep in the West Coast against 3 scrub teams of the Western Conference, the Houston Rockets will play vs another scrub team at the rock bottom of the Eastern Conference, Washington Wizards at Toyota Centre.

This will be the second time they meet this season; the Houston Rockets lost to the Washington Wizards 91 ~ 98 last time they met at Washington on November 10.

Last time Washington Wizards won
due to an awesome triple-double performance of John Wall.

But this time it should be different.

  1. Washington Wizards is currently the only NBA team that had yet to win a game on the road.
  2. John Wall had been sidelined for a troubled right knee for the past 2 to 3 weeks and had just returned to play, and therefore he might still be rusty and not in top competitive shape and form.
  3. This is a back-to-back for the Washington Wizards as they had just lost to San Antonio Spurs on Boxing Day. but for the Rockets, they should be fresh and re-energized after a 4-days' break since their West Coast swing.
  4. The Houston Rockets had a great turnaround so far. They are currently on a winning streak of 4, and had actually won 7 out of the past 10 games, 14 out of 24 since a disastrous 0~5 start of the season.
So unless the Houston Rockets players are still in their Christmas holiday mood, or else they should be able to beat a tired and weary Washington Wizards at Toyota Centre
to improve to .500 for the first time in this season.

GO GO GO ROCKETS !!! GO FOR A WINNING STREAK OF 5 AND BE A 0.5 TEAM !!!

Geeeeeeeeeez, 79 ~ 70, Houston Rockets behind by 9 points in early 4Q.

Looks like the 4-day break over Christmas is having ADVERSE IMPACT over the Rockets.

The Washington Wizards are playing with more intensity and energy than the Rockets
even on a back-to-back.

MUST BE TOO MANY PARTIES OVER THE HOLDIAYS !!!

Yi Jianlian also travelled with the Washington Wizards and was in the pre-game shoot-around practice.

He seemed to be recovering well; he could now run, jump and had no problem in his lateral movement as well.

He told the reporters it could be any time now, maybe 2 to 3 days later, that he can return to play.

He met and chatted with his ex-team mate Terrence Williams during the pregame practice.
