So after an emphatic win over the LBJ-less Cleveland Cavaliers, the Houston Rockets will play the first leg of a back-to-back at home asgainst a visiting Sacramento Kings, before travelling to Oklahoma City to face the Oklahoma City Thunders again. They will also be facing Sacramento Kings again in Sacramento this coming Sunday(December 19).

Sacramento Kings is struggling as usual in this season. They are currently 4th placed in the Pacific Division and 14th placed in Western Conference with a 5W 16L result, just ahead of the rock bottom team of the Western Conference LA Clippers.

The good news for Houston Rockets for this game is that the top scorer of Sacramento Kings, Tyreke Evans, had been playing on and off with a bruised ankle for most of this early season, and he might be rested for this game.

So this presents to Houston Rockets a great chance to win thier 10th win of the season and extend their winning streak at home to 6.

But you never know the Rockets, i.e. whether they will bring their A games for this game, or they will as they often displayed this season, they often made life difficult for themselves, by losing their focus and intensity towards the end of the game, and lost close games due to poor execution and lapses of concentration.

GO GO GO ROCKETS !!! GO FOR THE 10TH WIN OF THE SEASON !!!

1Q ended. 27 ~ 30. Houston Rockets felling behind for 3 points.

The Rockets should consider themsleves lucky to be able to stay in striking distance. At one point, the Kings was leading by 8 points.

The Rockets played BAD in 1Q; had a LOW 38.5% FG%, and let the Kings shoot a 58.5% FG%.

Let's hope they can improve in 2Q.

1H ended. Houston Rockets came from behind and now led by double digits. 58 ~ 48.

The 2nd tier players of the Rockets (Jordan Hill, Courtney Lee, Chase Budinger, Ishmael Smith and Brad Miller) played better defense, and had subdued the Kings and lowered their FG% by 10% point to be only shooting 47% FG% so far, while improving their own FG% by 10% point to 47%. The 2nd tier Rockets outscored the 2nd tier Kings 23 ~ 9.

That had brought the turnaround.

3Q ended. 91 ~ 72.

The Rockets sort of turned on the turbo, and carved out a 19 points lead by end of 3Q.

Looks like 4Q should be just a formality for the Rockets to extend their winning streak on home court to 6. Also the starters should get rest so as not to be exhausted in preparation for tomorrow's away back-to-back game with Oklahoma City Thunders
