Big Yao appeared tonight (February 24) in Pudong Yuanshen Stadium to watch his team Shanghai MAXXIS Sharks play against Jiangsu Nangang Dragons in a top-of-the-table clash.

His team did not disappoint him, and won a roller-coaster 125 ~ 121 in overtime, and frog leap over Jiangsu Nangang Dragons to #4 in the CBA.

For details, please refer to the game summary

http://www.yaomingmania.com/forum/viewt ... 203#382203

Both team now qualify for the playoff.

If both team continue to win, and maintain the same win/loss ratio, Shanghai MAXXIS Sharks will have home court advantage.

This could be the last game that Yao Ming watched during his current stretch of stay in China. It is reported that he will leave China for USA this coming Saturday (February 27).

It was a picture of Big Yao with the volunteers at the Pudong Yuanshen Stadium. In order not to be standing out too much with these students, Big Yao sat on a board.

Yao looks more chubby than ever before. It is doubtful if he will return to form. Has he developed any new skills yet?

So before he left China for Houston, Yao Ming appeared yesterday (February 26) in a nationwide marketing program launch of Oreo, and release of his newest commercial for Oreo, a very popular sandwich cookie currently manufactured by the Nabisco Division of Kraft Foods.

Lorna Davis, President of Kraft Foods China,
was present at the launch and proudly announced that they have signed up Yao Ming as their image spokesperson for Oreo in China.

Following is a video of Yao Ming at the launch.

Actually the news that Kraft Foods China had signed up Yao Ming as their latest image spokesperson was disclosed in early February, i.e. before Yao Ming returned from Houston for the Chinese New Year.

And the shooting of that new Oreo commercial could be even earlier.

Some photos taken back in January, I supposed.
