<  Yao on the court, and his most recent game  ~  03/06 Game 63: Houston Rockets vs Phoenix Sun

when yao shoots poorly, its indication of being tired. 41 minutes is not bad. shaq shoots better % cuz hes smart attacking the rim most of the time. yao just shoots too many fadeaways.

I like yao's new role in the offense. He's reluctant to lead and carry the team but seems satisfied being a role player. He can now concentrate on improving his rebounding, blocks, and assists. He can put up points through the 1st 3 quarters but doesn't have to score or waste energy in the 4th. Leave it to Artest, AB, and Scola to carry the Rockets with AB taking the big shots down the stretch. The Rockets do not need to force feed yao down low and waste his energy, yao's better suited conserving his stamina for setting screens, rebounding, and playing D. Just like Pryuen said, yao played great D down the stretch and affected steve nash's shot. That's all we can ask of yao, make 1 or 2 great defensive plays that help win a game, not score in the clutch which he's not able to do.

Yes, they together organized a charity game in China after the earthquake in Sichuan province back then to raise money for the victims.
