The other thing Yao needs to start thinking about doing is coming 1 - 2ft further out to get the ball if he can get deep position. That means he needs to improve his dribbling to be able to take 2 - 3 dribbles to get to where he wants to go. It's a part of his game he is going to need to work on because defense's are stopping him from getting deep position too often.

What Yao needs to improve, it's not his skill anymore. It's that mentality. that's the difference between good players and great players. Everyone has some sort of skills in the league, but who wants to win more in the end makes the difference. Unfortunately, Yao doesn't want to win more, he just says he does. Therefore, now that I think of it, I am not that shocked that the Rockets collapsed, since this isn't the first time. It's almost like a habit for them.

Yao ming is clueless in rebounding. Need to find a center with some clues how to rebound at least defensive boards.

No questions about that. You saw Derrick Rose's mentality in the 4th. He was in attack mode regardless of what the defense did. That's the type of mentality Yao just doesn't have and it is what separates him from being a good player and a great one.

in 4th qtr, adelman should have played Deke. Deke at least would grap some rebounds. Yao didnt score in 4th quarter anyway. Then the Rockets should have won.

that's why I am used to it. I don't expect a lot from him. It's too late for him to change in my view, it's just not in him. He is too mellow, too soft to lead. You know we often talk about how some American players need to learn how to be unselfish. Well, Yao needs to learn how to be selfish. Being unselfish is good, but it can hurt you too at times.

Actually not a bad idea. With the lead they had, they needed time off the clock more than they needed points.

Gosh, is this the story of the Rockets? How come this keeps happening again and again? 17 points evaporated and all they could do was... nothing
