And I guess Big Yao had called it for the day, and not required to play a single minute in 4Q.

Must be the shortest game he had played in this season so far.

actually yao was the main reason they blew the game open... he was a + 17 this game.

that doesn't mean much... they pulled away with a 16 point lead with yao out there in the 3rd q.

96 vs 76.....IMHO the most convincing WIN for the season so far despite struggling to score in early part of 2Q.

This game also taught the Rockets and hopefully Rick Adelman one thing. This team, other than to play with motion offense, just could not throw away JVG's defense just like that.
They still need to play DEFENSE to win.

And to subdue and contain the high-scoring New York Knicks to score below 80 on the 2nd leg of a back-to-back is an achievement in its own, as they were averaging 104 points per game this season under Mike D'Antoni.
