The other Rockets in pregame warmup/shoot-around.

Looks like Shane Battier is ready to return to team scrimmage soon.....

And Rudy Tomjanovich is again showing up on the courtside. Is he getting a new role in the Houston Rockets?

Meanwhile, Steve Francis remained a forlorn left-out figure on the courtside.........

No time table yet for returning to training, not to mention about court time.

people should stop fantasizing Yao becoming mentally tough and whatnot.
i mean, do you honestly think he has more to offer?
this is his 7th season and he is who he is - hard working, soft big man with an awesome shooting touch, period. and that's already better than 90% of the centers in the league.

That's the key for him to get to the next level. The mentality... perhaps he should work on that aspect of his game.

Nothing new. We hear the same excuses every season, "it's early in the season, he's just warming up", etc etc.. But Yao repeats the same inconsistencies over and over. He still shows signs of weakness in his "mental" game.

If Yao can somehow overcome the "Chinese Syndrome" then the Roxs have a good chance of taking it.

The Chinese Syndrome has so far affected all 4 Chinese NBA players.

There's no getting over it. I'm guessing it's a defective gene or just they way the Communist upbringing affected their Mental way of thinking.

Could be cultural? a lot of my Chinese friends have the mentality that you try stay out of trouble and if someone gives you a hard time just take it and dont react aggressively so you can stay out of trouble.
