depends.........it's based on seeding right? so assuming a loss to greece, it's a 2-3 record to china's def one of the lower ones

China will face Lithuania or Argentina. Depend on Greece, and who they want to face. If Greece want to avoid Argentina, they can totally tank the game against China and go and face Lithuania.

Either way, China will face one of the 2 top seeds in pool A.

They most likely will finish 4th in group B and will face top team from group A. Right now that looks like Lithuania.

China has a chance, although pretty small.

I don't think Greece would tank. At this point, the other group is still wide open. It's not out of the question that Australia beat Lithuania, although I don't see Russia beating Argentina, Argentina have been getting better and better as the tournament progresses. They are definitely going to medal.

The only thing is that if Greece finishes 4th in the group, they can avoid USA in the semis, assuming they get there. But Greece doesn't look like a team that would tank, they have a lot of confidence in themselves.

Despite a very gallant performance from Dirk Nowitzki (24 points 7/20 FG% 3/7 3-pointer% 7/7 FT%)/17 rebounds), Yao Ming still managed to lead his team to defeat Germany 59 vs 55, and should advance into the Final 8.

Yao Ming played over 34 minutes, scored a double-double; 25 points (9/19 FG% 1/1 3-pointer% 6/10 FT%)/11 rebounds/2 assists/1 block shot/2 turnovers/3 personal fouls.......

The interior players of China played great in this game.....Yao Ming and Yi Jianlian played hard to contain Chris Kaman and Dirk Nowitzki. Ah Lian almost got his double-double, 9 points/11 rebounds/2 steals/1 block shot.....and his jumper at 28 seconds of the game was clutch and sort of sealed the win for China.

The Chinese exterior players did not fare as well as the interior players. All the guards kept missing their shots, and was only 11.8% (2/17) on 3-pointers. The usually reliable Zhu Fangyu was 0/3 from behind the arc; Li Nan was 0/2; Wang Shipeng was 0/4; Liu Wei was 1/5, and Sun Yue: 1/2; And it required 3-pointers from Yao Ming, Wang Zhizhi and Yi Jianlian to bring the 3-pointer% to 25% (5/20).

But led by Sun Yue and anchored by Yao Ming, China played excellent defense to hold off the German attack in the end.

Yi Jianlian is the game MVP. His effort on both sides really fired up the rest of his teammates. Yi & Sun set the tone for the game, great game guys.

If you look at zhu who missed the 2 free throws and the Liu wei committed a foul with a few seconds left. What were they thinking? The Germans could have come back.

I tend to blame the guards, particularly Chen Jianghua and Wang Shipeng.

In his first 2 minutes on court, Chen made silly turnovers but had his @r$e saved when Sun Yue and Wang Zhizhi blocked out shots from the German. He then played bad defense, letting the German point guard hit 2 consecutive uncontested 3-pointer to cut the deficit to 4 points only.

Just watched the replay. You are so off, its not even funny.

1) The turnover was on Sun Yue. Chen pass it to Sun, and Sun dropped it to the German.

2) Chen went in for a layup and got knocked down to the floor, by the time he got back his man then went and hit a 3. How is that on Chen? Someone should of pick his man up before Chen get back on defense.

3) The 2nd 3 was totally Chen's fault. He was playing the drive, and should of been on the shooter tighter. Thats where Chen lost his focus, and was his fault.

After that he never got off the bench again.
