they win against bobcats. Then next 4 are tough games. Lakers, Celtics, at New orleans, at Golden st. If Yao didn't get injured they would be favourites to win all 4 games.

Just as much as I want them to break the record, but let's be a little bit realistic here. They will play the Lakers, the Celtics, the Hornets, the Warriors, the Suns next week. I mean 5 games in 7 nights, two sets of back to back. 3 consecutive road games. In addition, they don't know when Landry will be back. So against bigger teams, I think their front line will be truly tested. Physically, I think it will be very tough to play that many games in such a short period of time. Thus, I don't think their winning streak will continue. They are bound to lose one or more perhaps.

The Celtics and Suns are two of the teams that jump out as being very difficult games for the Rockets to win. The Celtics play very good defense and I can see them smother T-Mac and the rest of the Rockets. On offense they'll get enough firepower from the big 3 to pull out the win. The Suns will present a real test for the Rockets interrior defense. This is where they are going to miss Yao's presence to match up on Shaq.
The Warriors and Hornets are winnable games but will be tough tests on the road.
As for Sunday's big match up against the Lakers? I predict a Rockets victory.

I think without Yao, Lakers and Boston would be the two games that we might lose.
we should have no probelm with suns if our outside shooting is good. GS and NO we should have no probelm with as long as landry is there with his energy.

if yao had played that utah game, houston could have won 25 at this point. and 26-27 in a row even with him hurt
33 haha dunno that would have been tough, but it's POSSIBLE if yao was healthy and had been healthy the past 2 months.
the remaining games to 33 would be charlotte, LA, Celts, NO, GS, Phoenix, Sac, Minn
of those LA, Celtics, NO, GS, Phoenix would have been contested. could they have won em all with yao? I think it's possible but all would have been ****** good games, especially at home versus Boston and LA and on the road at NO and Suns w/shaq playing his game of the millennium.
then it would have been AT san antonio for win 34. omg the ratings for that. GREATEST TEAM OF ALL TIME 11!11-1
dammit yao!!!!

The rockets have covered the spread for every game since the all star break, 11 games in a row. Is that a new nba record? The last time they didn't cover was against sacramento. only won by 1. If someone placed $10 on that 1st game against cleveland then went all in for every rockets after that they'd have $15,000 by now. And the rockets have won 26 of their last 27, and they won the last 17 in row that Yao has played in. If Yao had played in that game against Utah their streak would be at 27 after the win vs. Bobcats.

what schedule are you looking at?
the last loss was v utah on 1/27.
before that:
@ portland win on 1/25
@seattle W 1/23
v seattle W 1/21
v spurs W 1/19
before that 2 losses v philly & NO
houston has won 20 in a row, 24 of 25. yao won 16 in a row.
if rox had won 26/27 including utah, they would have now be at 27 in a row including utah... bobcats would be win 28.
but that's wrong they've won 24 of 25. am i on drugs or forgotten how to count? I might be wrong but I'm looking at the schedule right now

Stop using what if this and what if that. We certainly aren't living in the life of what ifs. We are living in real life. Otherwise, might as well wishing for the Rockets are undefeated right now with 64-0, so two more wins, they will double the record of 33 in a row.
