The full schedule in September

Sept 3 Shenzhen vs the Australian Melbourne Tigers

Sept 5 Macau vs the Autralian Melbourne Tigers

Sept 14 Beijing vs NBA Invitational Team (Led by Steve Nash)

Sept 21 Xiaolan vs Australian Brisbane Bullets

Sept 23 Xinhui vs Australian Brisbane Bullets

Sept 24 Zhuhai vs Australian Brisbane Bullets

Sept 28 Hefei vs Australian Sydney Kings

Sept 29 Kunshan vs Benetton Treviso

Sept 30 Kunshan vs Moscow CSKA

Oct 1 Kunshan vs Australian Sydney Kings

Oct 18 Macau vs Orlando Magic

Don't think Yao Ming will play all of these games, particularly the one scheduled on October 18, as he already indicated he will have to be back into Houston for the preseason training camp, and will not be available for the match up to Dwight Howard & Co. on October 18.

Yao has made the commitment to the Rox that he will be at the training camp in Austin on time. First day of practice is on October 2nd.

So the commercial activities continued.

Yao Ming pocketed another mega-dollar deal today in Beijing, when China Life appointed him their global image spokesperson.

And to ensure quality to the advertisements/commercials that they are going to produce for Big Yao, they also appointed the famous Chinese director Feng Xiaogang to be responsible for producing/directing those new commercials.

Both were offered a big insurance policy for accident on the spot.

it seems yao has taken WAY TOO MUCH time this summer to do PR activities and his shape has suffered big time. i mean all the charity work is good. the insurance crap and other endorsemens and interviews just never stops. look at him, he is narrow and pole-like again. he needs to continue to work on his upper body.

Yao Ming joined the national team today in team practice and scrimmage after a busy week of the Yao & Nash Charity Gala and the commercial activities that followed.

It was the first time in the summer that he met Jonas Kazlauskas, the head coach of the national team, who had just returned from Lithuania and Madrid after doing some scouting in the Euro 2007.

In an interview with Wang Meng, Yao Ming said there is very little time to waste. He realized he has yet to get back into his competitive form and shape. He felt he is okay on the offensive side as he just got into his position in the low post, and his team mates will pass the ball to him there. But on defense, he felt he is 1 to 2 steps slower, and repeatedly got beaten by his team mates like Yi Jianlian and Zhang Songtao during the 3 X 3 and 4 X 4 team scrimmage.

He realized there is still alot of work to do on his conditioning, and he now felt the pressure about the 2008 Olympics as well as the new NBA season. He hopes he can make use of the future 2 weeks, plays in the 7 exhibition games with the Euroleague teams (from Italy and Russia)and the 2 Australian teams from September 24 all the way up to October 1, so as to get back into his competitive form and shape.

After attending the opening ceremony of the Special Olympic in Shanghai on October 2, he will return to Houston, which means he will be 2 to 3 days late for the preseason training camp at Austin.

Yao Ming and the China national team departed Beijing this morning, and flew to Guangzhou, and then to Jiangmen and then arrived at Xiao Lan of Zhongshan in the evening.

They will play the first of their 3 games versus Australian NBL champion Brisbane Bullets tomorrow night.

I am not saying Wang is not lazy, but caught sitting down isn't the best argument for that. I read that Wang was diagnosed with meniscus problem recently. With that problem, sitting down puts less pressure on the knee than standing up.
