They thought the same thing with Tim Duncan!

their 4 game winning streak got some true fans upset in Boston...

Since their football and baseball teams are doing well, something has got to give...

Lakers are being punked by Bucks, but Pacers are not nearly working as hard against Jazz...

Yao update

Correction on Yao's problem. It was a dislocated middle finger. It was popped back into place, and he could play. He looks as if he wants to. But with the Rockets leading 103-78 with three minutes left, it looks like he is done for the night.

Not a bad way to work out the kinks. He struggled a bit, making four of nine shots for 11 points with five rebounds. He played just 19 minutes because of foul trouble and the few minutes he lost to repair the finger. But as he gets closer to being himself, the Rockets get an easy victory. They'll take that deal every day.

Yao too? No.

Yao just followed Dikembe off the court, but this was minor. He had a cut that took more than the 30 seconds allowed to bandage. He is back, and it looks like he told JVG he is ready to get back in the game. We're getting close to when even Jeff will clear his bench. There are five minutes left. I figure he starts any second.

Mutombo hurt: "Not serious"

Whew. That was close.

Mutombo was taken to the locker room after he was hurt on a defensive play. It did not look good because Deke never likes to leave the floor.

Keith Jones, the Rockets' trainer, left the floor with him and has not returned yet, but he just sent word through the Rockets' Nelson Luis that Mutombo has a bruised left knee. "Doesn't look too serious."

The Rockets led 97-68 at the time. With 6

I know Yao wanted to get back in the game, but how serious is a dislocated finger? :?

The middle finger joint popped out backwards, but the trainer was able to pop it back in and tape the finger with the ring finger. It wasn't like the dislocation that Deke suffered last year where the finger dislocated sideways in a 90 degree angle.

Tmac was awesome tonight. As he goes, so do the Rockets. He'll have to be their best player in the post season in order to advance.
