Where in the article did it say that? Yao is in pretty good shape right now.

Use your brain, SuperJean. Do you really think Yao Ming can do a coast-to-coast dribble pasting 5 of his team mates for a slam dunk ?

I was talking about Yao playing against Mutomobo and Big Jake. Please stop your verbal abuse.

Latest article from Zhang Yi of Sohu Sports from Denver.

So alot of Rockets fans gathered prior to the game with Denver Nuggets, hoping that they could get a glimpse of Yao Ming at the team practice.

But they were sort of disappointed, as Yao Ming was nowhere to be found.

When Keith Jones was approached by the disappointing media/press reporters, he explained that Yao Ming did travel with the Rockets to Denver yesterday, but due to a schedule clash with his physician Tom Clanton (as Tom Clanton is scheduled to travel out of town by tomorrow), Yao Ming has to depart Denver for Houston such that he can have his medical inspection before Tom Clanton goes on his business trip.

So FINALLY !!! :P :P :P

According to what was reported in this sina.com article, Yao Ming finally found his latest pair of brace, the 5th pair, a smaller but tighter brace, the most comfortable one.

And he was running, and jumping with relative ease and comfort, and even managed to dunk a couple times in today's pre-game team practice in Toyota Centre, prior to the game with San Antonio Spurs.

This is the latest from Zhang Yi of Sohu Sports, right after the humiliation by the San Antonio Spurs.

Basically it just gave us the positive message: Yao Ming should be considered medically cleared to return to play !!!

Quote:

In Summary:-

  • Dr. Tom Clanton was there in Toyota Centre, and right after Yao Ming's lone shootout practice, had a thorough medical check on him.
  • When the press/media reporters surrounded Tom Clanton for Yao Ming's latest rehabilitation status, Tom Clanton said it was not convenient for him to say too much. But when further pressed, he said: "Yao Ming's progress has been great, and had reached every target we set for him. In fact, he had made further progress, and had reached or surpassed targets we set for him in every stage of the rehabilitation. We are closely monitoring his progress in his rehabilitation. If he can surpass his fitness tests during his training, then he can return to play anytime. Yeah.....he had made excellent progress."
  • When the reporters fruther pressed for an answer whether Yao Ming will return to play in next game (versus Cleveland Cavaliers), Tom Clanton did not deny but said: "For this question, I think, I'll let Keith Jones answer it."
  • But Keith Jones could not be found anywhere right after the game with San Antonio Spurs.
  • So insteads, the press/media reporters further pressed Nelson Luis, Director of Media Relations of the Houston Rockets for a straight answer.
  • Nelson Luis said: "We still cannot decide now. We have to wait for doctors' greenlight."
  • The reporters then told Nelson Luis that Tom Clanton had deferred the decision to Keith Jones, and Nelson Luis just plainly said: "Well, I think, then it will have to be a consensus from both parties (i.e. Tom Clanton & Keith Jones."
  • When the reporters further asked Neslon Luis whether Yao Ming will return on March 9 in Toyota Centre against the New Jersey Nets, Nelson Luis said: "Yao told you so ? Now we still don't have any concrete schedule of when Yao Ming will return."
  • Anyway, it is confirmed that Yao Ming will travel with the team March 4 on their Eastern Conference road trip to Cleveland and Boston. Maybe he will return to court during this road trip. Maybe he will return to court in Toytoa Centre. Regardless of which outcome, the best outcome has to be that Yao Ming is healthy, and feels he is ready, then he will return. After all, the Rockets has a much loftier target for this season.
