When: Monday, 8 : 30 p.m. ET, 1 - 29 - 07
Broadcast: FSNSW, CSN, NBALP, WIP (Radio)
Preview:
This is another must-win for Houston who have high hopes of making the playoffs and go further when Yao comes back. They are on a 2 game winning streak including a 5 point W against the always tough San Antonio Spurs. T-Mac has been the king, helping the Rockets when they need a run and making up for mistakes. Juwan and Howard have been consistent benefactors for the Rockers; With Juwan hitting J after J and Mutumbo scoring when needed in the paint and terrorizing people on D.
Philly (14-31, 4th Atlantic) has been doing surprisingly well, getting some W's against the Heat and Nuggets awhile back. Though recently they have won 1 in a row; their loss against the Cavs beset their 2 in a row streak. Andre Iguodala has been the T-Mac on their team, getting a triple double against the Cavs on the 26th and getting 24 against their most recent game againt the Hawks. 76ers have many weapons they can use against us so we gotta be careful to remain composed.

Did the W against the Spurs not give you enough confidence in the Rockets?

The Rox should blow out the Sixers. If so, I hope JVG doesn't stay paranoid and get the starters in too long. He should clear the bench with like 7 minutes to go!

like i said in an earlier blog, the rockets should win the next 5 games starting with the portland win; thats what championship teams do, beat up the weaker teams (even without yao ming); if they lose 1, i'll be disappointed because it will be because of lack of intensity, not because the other team is better.

We moved past the Lakers for 5th in the WC!
I hope everything stays that way because we match up way better with the Jazz than we do with the Spurs. The Spurs are scary come playoff time, noone wants to play them.
