wang zhi zhi scores with like 8 seconds left!
china leading 63-61 with 2.7 seconds left.
bogut has 20 pts/9 boards so far. pretty good game for him altho he sure got alot of calls for not being an nba all-star.
aussies miss the 3 at the buzzer. China gets it's first win! |

2.7 seconds left......China leads 63 by 61....Yao Ming just got his 21 points.
Wang Zhizhi showed his experience to foul the Australian guard in the mid court. So 2.7 seconds should be not enough for the Australian's last offense.
63 vs 61.... WIN !!! |

It is Yao Ming NOT Wang Zhizhi who got the cluttch basket......
Bogut played pretty good, but his free throws is as bad as Shaq......I think he missed at least 5 to 6 free throws. |

if only we could combine wang zhizhi's offense with yi jianlians defense.
the CNT has the same problem as the rockets between using juwan howard or chuck hayes.
they should draw up more alley-oop plays for yi jianlian and yao. bogut had like 3 of those plays for him. |

Yao Ming had a double-double ..... 21 points (61.5% (8/13) FG%, 83.3% (5/6) FT%), 10 rebounds, 2 blocks, 4 assists, 2 turnovers.....and 4 fouls.
But he lost his rebounds to Yi Jianlian, who got 11 rebounds.
China beat Australia in all departments of FG%, FT%, 3-pointers%, rebounds, assists, blocks.....but just too many turnovers.....18 vs 4, resulting in alot of steals, fast breaks, easy baskets and free throws for the Australians. |
