So Luther Head must have heeded to Yao Ming's advice and had enjoyed his rookie All Stars game tremandously. Luther Head scored 18 points to be joint top scorer for the rookies, which lost out 106 vs 96 to the Sophomores. Andre Iguodala is the MVP of this Rookie Challenge.

When asked by the reporters about his advice to Luther Head on how he should play his first ever All Stars game, Yao Ming said: "Just forget about defense. Go out and enjoy it. But please don't tell Jeff Van Gundy that I said so about no defense."

another typical stupid yao joke.

and this year there was more defense until the game was out of reach for the rookies. honestly, head wasn't that impressive compared to the rest rooks & sophos. he's not as physical gifted as many rookies/sopho guards.

it's time for sixers to trade iverson, who's definitely holding back iggi's development.

Give that kid a break. After all, don't forget at which rank he was picked. Not #1, not Top 3, not Top 10. He ALREADY fares MUCH BETTER than alot of the other rookies.

How come Josh smith Marvin williams didn't play in that game. They got snubbed because they play for the atlanta hawks.

So as the host, Yao Ming and TMAC greeted the All Stars, and started some shoot-around !!!

Yao Ming even had a hair-cut to be in the All Stars !!

A lot of ppl is hating on KG saying he was a bad guy. But in the Year of the Yao, KG was the nicest guy their to him. I cant wait for the Allstar game!!!! I love it when Yao gets fancy with his passing. And if someone suprised Iggy won the MVP of the Rookie challenge, then they obviously didnt watch the game. Iggy had 30 pts, 6rebs, 3 assist and had a between the legs dunk on a fast break, and 180 two handed monster jam, and ferocious one handed jam, 2 threes, this guy was the most exciting guy there and made the game fun. Luther did pretty good, but missed a lot of threes (2-5 for threes), including missing a way wide open three. But his passing was on target, getting nice assist to Villenuava. I cant wait to see Iggy in the dunk contest. Peace.

It's on NBA TV. So, if you have digital cable, you're in luck because you get to watch it for free. :) It's pretty neat because you can see how Avery Johnson coaches. The one who hit the shot from half-court was Kobe.

DUMB@$$ !!

is there a video of this? showing the allstars together? were they practicing at the rookie game?[/quote]
