3ptr for the lead. Block on Harden. Rebound. 2 FTs. Run the clock out.

Flat out amazing...

good find, Phil

amazing indeed :!:

    Leonard has my vote as the MVP

in my books, this is the 2nd most amazing ending to a NBA game, was just a tad more so

I remember that game. I like Kawhi's better because he did everything...score, block (on a leading MVP contender, no less!), rebound, free throws, dribble. The total package. Reggie Miller's play was amazing, but the win relied on a terrible in-bound pass, two missed free throws and a missed jumper by the Knicks...and Reggie really only flexed his shooting.

Kawhi had 33 seconds to overcome a 2-pt lead and then to protect the lead;
    Reggie had only 9 seconds to overcome a 7-pt deficit

in addition to his 3-pt shots, Reggie played great D to steal an inbound pass and, most importantly, after the steal,
    had the prescience of mind to dribble outside to the 3-pt area to hit the tre.

    w ~ 6 seconds left, and a 4-pt deficit, 99% of the ballers would have just opted for a quick slam; they would have come up one point short of over-taking a 7-pt deficit.

Not sure how that's possible...when he hit the first 3ptr to get within 3, there were 16 seconds left on the clock. He did score 8 points in 9 seconds, but there was more time left on the clock.

First, it wasn't a great steal...it was an awful inbound pass. Second, it was obvious to everyone that they needed a 3, and since Reggie is known for his 3pt shooting, everyone watching was expecting him to take the 3 once he stole it.

NO ONE says it BETTER than Jonathan Feigen about Houston Rockets crashing out of the Western Conference semi final, COMPLETELY ANNIHILATED by the San Antonio Spurs !!! :lol: :lol: :lol:

The Rockets did not just lose. That would have been better. This was far more inglorious, far more distasteful. It will be much more difficult to forget.

They surrendered. They were hit, and crumbled like an old lawn chair. They were not just whipped; they were humiliated, coming within one point of the worst postseason beatdown in franchise history.

The Rockets' season, for all the excitement and hope built along the way, ended with boos and a largely empty Toyota Center. The Spurs pummeled the helpless Rockets, 114-75, with James Harden dispassionately fading away and the Rockets, with their season on the line, responding to the beating with a sad pout.

With the Spurs shorthanded without Kawhi Leonard and Tony Parker, the Rockets were missing much more.

Zhou Qi is going to help Houston win the championships.
