The primary mandate I had for myself in making this decision was to have it based on the potential for my growth as a player — as that has always steered me in the right direction. But I am also at a point in my life where it is of equal importance to find an opportunity that encourages my evolution as a man: moving out of my comfort zone to a new city and community which offers the greatest potential for my contribution and personal growth. With this in mind, I have decided that I am going to join the Golden State Warriors.

It was reported that, last night PST,

Jerry West made a call to KD, confiding that
even at age 78, the logo still pains at those close losses in the Finals (6 of them in the 1960s) against the Celts.

the uber team (KD, curry, klay, Draymod and others) will easily win 2 or 3 more rings; they will be playing a style most suited fo KD's skills

GS will unload Bogut and other pieces to get sufficient cap space to lure FA Pau Gasol to join the uber team.
this only cements the logo's reputation, beyond a HoFer, as a closer

as great as this deal is,
this ranks as either the 2nd or 3rd greatest deal that the logo has ever closed.
    The greatest was him
    • trading away a 27 yr-old starting center, Divac, to Charlotte and
    • instructing Charlotte to use its 16th pick in the first round to draft
an untested 18-yr old high school kid, Kobe

Now OKC without Durant, will need someone like Yi Jianlian to fill the void.

Why not just watch CBA, which is probably more the competitive league. There is Yi and other Chinese dudes.

GS is giving up on Bogut and Barnes, so they will need to fill some void with big guys as well. Zhou Qi and Wang zhelin are available through trades.

Butters, you should suggest to Yao to get Durant, Klay and Curry to join the Sharks.

Otherwise, there is no point watching NBA.

nah, KD made the right decision. He's chasing after the ring just like Lebron did when he go to the Heat.

The deal is 2 years with player option at last. Which means he is back in the FA market next summer, where hopefully he will win a ring and Westbrook is also FA. The cap is suppose to be higher as well. This is the perfect move by KD.

He can join back with Westbrook in OKC if he wants to, or go elsewhere.
