Wade rejected 2nd offer for 2 year $40 mil.

The mind games continue. Wade pretending to slut around... media saying he's going to Cavs, Knicks, Bucks.

Wade wants his money!

nah, riley is just playing smart. Since no teams has offered Wade a 3rd year option which tells you Wade's worth. Pat is just too much of a business man as he is trying to exit the marriage.

Why sign Wade for 50 mils for 2 years where you know he will test the market again next summer for a long term deal. if Pat is committing to paying him 50 mils for 2 yrs than he will most likely be much harder to exit the marriage next summer.

If pat wants it out, what better than doing it now.

from my perspective; the ever-evolving NBA game has passed Riley by.

his ego got in the way of running the Miami Heat;
he misread the LBJ situation and he has misread the Wade situation.

Wade has misread the situation. He thinks he can still play at the peak when he cannot anymore. Just expect him to be a pretender next season.

Nah, Riley is the puppet master, and I think he read it correctly.

Dirk was offered 20 mils per yr with the Mavs for 2 yrs, so the same went to Wade. Originally from what I heard is that Wade wanted a 3rd yr option. Heat is in rebuilding mode and with Bosh still on the book, they cant afford to lack Wade up for 3 years. The Fans may not like it, but its the right thing to do as an origanization.

Riley's remorse
Pat Riley said he regrets letting Dwyane Wade leave the Miami Heat,
acknowledging that he was "floored" by the superstar's decision to
join the Chicago Bulls in free agency.

"What happened with Dwyane floored me," Riley said.
"I'm going to miss the fact of what I might have had planned for him and his future and ...... how I could see his end here with the Heat. ...

It's my responsibility to sort of make that happen. I didn't make it happen.
Dwyane left, and the buck stops here."

That's PR move to the Heat fans. Read between the lines
