chinatown wrote: Yao has a scar over his left eye, which I suppose he got this summer during the Asian basketball championships. kewl. Well, the scar was over his right eye.
And the scar was the results of 8 stitches of an elbow from Brian Scalabrine in December 2005.Quote:
http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/spo ... 08127.html
Perhaps desperate to erase the pain of Saturday's awful loss to Memphis before heading out on a six-game road trip, the Rockets felt so much better about themselves that Yao Ming found cause for a punch line after having an eight-stitch gash opened above his right eye when he took a Brian Scalabrine elbow in the second half.
"I'm used to it," Yao said. "What do (boxers) make?"
If I have not forgotten, the injury in the Asian Championship was on his jaw/chin, when he was hit by Ali Fakhreddine or Fadi El-Khatib (???) of Lebanon, whcih he had to receive 6 stitches to it. That was also the reason why he had to grow a mustache on his chin to conceal the scar left on his chin.
Remembered that horrible sight ??

the game with Bucks is the best 2nd game of a back-to-back I've seen yet. Both Hatyes and LB are looking great inside!
