Hello. Ye Li, Miao Lijie and Chen Yuyun will join the WNBA soon. The chinese authorities approved of it and it'll be interesting...

Welcome on board to YMM .....Supabrotha.

LOL !!!! That was VERY VERY VERY OLD news from March this year.
No WNBA clubs drafted them in the eventual WNBA draft, probably with the understanding that NONE of them will be available to play for them due to the Olympic.

Hopefully, this will be revisited when the Olympic is over.

don't think so, imo, the real reason was they're just nor fast enough, and definitely not tough enough
The WNBA did draft some Euro female ballers; and they also have Olympic committements to their home countries.

Well you could be right. But then again:-

 Those European countries may not have as stringent requirements like the WCBA that insisted 3 ~ 4 months' centralized close-door training (that started in March/April time frame for the 3 players (Miao, Chen and Ye), which virtually means the WNBA season (May ~ September) will be over by the time they return from the Olympic.

 If Jung Sunmin (30 years old, 6ft 1, 168lb) from South Korea can make it to Seattle Storm last season, I can't see reasons WHY players like Miao Lijie (23 years old, 5ft 10, 150lb), Ye Li (23 years old, 6ft 3, 183 lb), or Sui Feifei (25 years old, 6ft, 158lb) cannot make it to WNBA.

At least they are younger, taller, quicker and stronger than players like Jung Sunmin, who is definitely past her prime, when she was recruited.

Miao was MVP in last year Asian Championship, and even South Korea beat China in their preliminary group, they got beaten by Japan in the semi final, and China beat Japan with ease in the final. Jung Sunmin did not fare well at all in the Asian Championship even after her WNBA season with Seattle Storm, and was well defended by Chen Nan (21 years old, 6ft 5, 180 lb) and Ye Li in their preliminary group match.
