The proceeds of this charity game will go to Yao Foundation to fund this year's "Yao Foundation Hope Primary School Basketball Season" project, as well as funding the travel and accommodation expenses of school children of Hope Primary Schools in poverty-stricken areas to participate in the Yao Foundation Hope Primary School Basketball Season. [color=#BF0000]This is his 9th visit to China since endorsed by China Peak and most probably his last one as he had announced his retirement from professional basketball.

After his arrival, he took a sea cruise on the Huangpu River organized by China Peak that evening. He originally wanted to invite Yao Ming to join him, but found Yao Ming out of town when he phoned him.[/color]

[color=#BF0000]He first visited Madame Tussauds to take photos with waxworks of celebrities there; he even stood still to pretend he is himself a waxwork to surprise some of the visitors. He also blocked shot from the waxwork of Yao Ming, something he probably never managed to do so in real life.

[color=#BF0000]He had a full day of rest on August 25, and China Peak organized a fans' gathering called Champion's Night for him on the night of August 26.

At the fans' gathering, China Peak presented Tony Parker with his 2nd generation edition of his signature shoes.

Tony Parker was then asked to compete with TV actor Jean Li Jiahang (who happened to be a diehard fan for San Antonio Spurs) on 3-pointer shooting. Probably it was due to it was on a lower and modified basketball rim, both bricked all their 5 attempts, and were asked to continue for another 5 attempts. Tony Parker eventually made 2 3-pointers (i.e. 2 out of 10), while Jean Li Jiahang failed to make one. As a result, Li Jiahang was asked to do 5 push-ups as penalty. Li said it would be disrespect to Tony Parker if he only did 5; he eventually did 30 push-ups. [/color]

[color=#BF0000]He had to do some commercial and still photos shooting for China Peak in the morning, before leaving Shanghai for Xiamen of Fujian in the afternoon to visit China Peak's headquarter in Quanzhou.

To his surprise, Yao Ming had come back to Shanghai and came to pick him up for lunch after his commercial/still photos shooting. [/color]

[color=#BF0000]Upon arrival with little rest, he attended a fans' gathering organized by China Peak for him in the evening where he taught some young basketballers some fundamental dribbling and ball handling skills, as well as competing 3-pointer shooting with some young players. Apparently Tony Parker won, and all the young players had to do push-ups as penalty for losing the contest.[/color]

[color=#BF0000]He first visited China Peak headquarter in the morning with China Peak's chairman of the board Xu Jingnan accompanying him throughout his visit. Xu Jingnan introduced to Shane Battier the history of how China Peak grew and developed in the past decade into one of the most competitive sports brand in China (and the world), including signing Shane Battier, their first NBA endorsed star, then became NBA's official marketing partner, then endorsed more than 20 different NBA players, then became marketing partner for FIBA, then became sponsor for several national teams, and lately co-operations with various Organizing Committees of Olympics Games and WTA (women tennis).

[color=#BF0000]After his visit to China Peak headquarters, Shane Battier went to visit the #7 Secondary School of Quanzhou. He had visited this school back in 2007, and this was his 2nd visit there.

He interacted with the students there and talked about his previous visit there 7 years ago, and sighed how time flew that it seemed it was just yesterday that he visited there, and there did not seem to be any change to the school, but he had grown old and is now retiring from professional basketball.

He then watched a basketball game between staff of China Peak with the school team of #7 Secondary School. He was asked to comment and analyse the performance of the 2 teams afterwards. Shane Battier commented that defense is more important than offense and defense helps a team to win. He then demonstrated and taught the young players some defense techniques including his best kept secret on how to create offensive charge from opponents.[/color]
