How many meetings do they have each year? Do they include lunch and dinner for the representatives?

Ambassador they have 6 meetings a year. Bi-monthly meetings on the Wednesday of every 2nd month.

They have ONLY dinner but afterwards they go out for drinks at TGI Fridays.

We understand that you need to clear up your schedule to be the official observer for Planet Dumass IV's own Provisional Committee and need the details to coordinate your schedule with the Chinese

Has that answered all your questions Ambassador? supplementary questions for your itinerary may be forwards to questionsfromdumasstoearth.gov

The Fifth Session of the 11th CPPCC National Committee is scheduled to open in Beijing on March 3.

So Yao Ming is currently in Beijing, ready to attend and participate in the CPPCC National Committee meeting.

When the media/press reporters pressed for whether he will submit proposal, and what will be its contents, Yao Ming said don't push him, as good proposals require time for preparation.

But nevertheless, he disclosed he is preparing to submit a proposal about sports and education. He did not disclose in details what will it be about, but said sports should not be just about gold medals, and China should not detach sports from education, and continue to revolve and plan everything on a 4-year cylce of either the China National Game or the Olympics.

He added that for some sports like soccer and basketball, which are popular and supposedly to be professional, they should be separated from the State Systems.

He quipped that his proposal could be just like what Deng Xiaoping proposed for Hong Kong and Macau, i.e. One Country, Two Systems.

Right before he went out to the Peoples' Great Hall, in order to satisfy the demanding press/media, Yao Ming threw a personal press conference at the hotel he stayed this morning to talk about his first feelings of becoming a CPPCC National Committee member, as well as further details about his proposal on China's sports systems and education.

Yao Ming is getting fatter without getting onto the basketball court, giving directions to the youngsters.

Where are Jackie Chan, Liu Xiang, Stephen Chow, Peng Dan and Henry Tang?

Stephen Chow and Peng Dan are NOT EVEN CPPCC National Committee members. They are just Guangdong and Gansu Provincial CPPCC members.

Liu Xiang is still in USA, and not surprisingly, applied for his leave of absence,
his 5th absence in 6 years as CPPCC National Committee member. Ten of thousands Chinese netizens are angrily attacking and abusing him over the Internet (in forums or weibos) for no-showing again and that he showed NO RESPECT to being picked as a CPPCC National Committee member.
