Even though Yao Ming had retired from professional basketball for 7 years, his heart is STILL with the Houston Rockets.

As Houston Rockets won Game 4 and then Game 5 and now leads the Western Conference Final series 3 ~ 2, Yao Ming took time out from his busy schedule, jumped the Chinese Great Firewall and dispatched celebratory messages on his Instagram !!!

the nephew of Beach Boys lead singer, Mike Love, the 6' 10" Kevin Love hangs w Yao Ming in Beijing.

The son of former NBAer Stan Love, recently signed a four-year, $120 M contract extension with the Cavs; he stopped for a quick photo with Yao during a recent visit to Beijing with Nike.

Yao Ming, may have shrunk a bit since his NBA days, dwarfs the Cavs power forward.

Kevin Love is under Yao's invitation to play the annual Yao Foundation Charity Game in Dalian which will be held tomorrow August 12 !!!

With Nike's liaison, Yao Ming had invited Kevin Love, De’Aaron Fox, Markelle Fultz, Lauri Markkanen, Gary Payton II, Jayson Tatum and Langston Morris Walker to play against the Chinese National Blue Team to raise funds for the Yao Foundation's various activities, including Yao's annual Project Hope Primary School Basketball League.

I hear a lot of NBA players now wish to play exhibition games in China because of the new business opportunities that comes with the fame in playing these games.

Well, it depends whether they get permission/clearance from their team to play in China. For the above players I mentioned, I believe alot of work had been done behind the scene by Nike and Yao Ming.

Another thing is there is always the risk of getting injured, even though the intensity of such exhibition games are not high. An example to illustrate my point. Rondae Hollis-Jefferson was invited by Jeremy Lin to come and play in his Hoop For Hope Celebrity Charity Game early in this month.

He broke his ankle while doing a dunk, and had to be stretchered off and sent to hospital, and immediately sent home the next morning.

So it was A BIG DAY for BIG YAO yesterday !!!!

First Nike extended a 10-year multi-million commercial endorsement with both the men and women national team.

Then it was the 10th anniversary for 2008 Beijing Olympics. So those Final 12 roster players of both the men and women national team gathered together for a reunion party.

THAT IDIOTIC BUTT-TROLL ALWAYS TROLLS HERE about Yao Ming doing NOTHING but just cares about wining and dining.

Ever since becoming CBA Chairman, Yao Ming had been working VERY HARD AND WHOLEHEARTEDLY in bringing reforms/changes to the CBA, spread the sports of basketball into the root level (in rural area, primary and secondary schools) in order to raise the popularity, quality and standard of the sports in China.

And today in China CBA hosted the inaugural FIBA World Basketball Summit 2018 in Xian City, with more than 200 executives/officials of basketball associations around the globe (including FIBA Secretary General Patrick Baumann and NBA Commissioner Adam Silver) coming in to attend the summit and participated in forum/panel discussions on how to improve inter-country co-operations, spread the sports of basktball and to turn basketball into a more popular sports around the globe.

ONLY WINING AND DINING !!!
