Eyes on the Prize

New branding campaign focuses on team's determination for postseason run

New Web site: Rockets.com has new, user-friendly look.

The Rockets unveiled a new branding logo on Tuesday with the marketing slogan, "Live It," returning with an updated look.

HOUSTON -- Yao Ming is back in Texas and once again looming large over his peers.

He didn't even have to return from China to do it.

The 7-foot-6 big man is instead towering over Houston on a billboard that was unveiled Tuesday morning. On the giant sign, Yao's piercing set of black-and-white pupils -- and little else of the center -- is intently glaring down at the cars that pass below him on I-45 and other locations throughout town.

The organization behind the massive pair of focused eyes believes in this case a simple look speaks volumes.

i dont like it. i think it's too much "eyes" ... i would prefer something with at least the entire face or part of the body.. (With the intense eyes..) plus tmac's eyes just dont look intense to me.

I like it. Nice and simple and is a symbol of Yao's dedication to his game, and on winning a championship.

"Yao's eyes on the prize", is what they actually mean. Nice eye-shot of Yao. He looks intense, T-Mac doesn't. Battier never looks intense either.
