Fido is the guy in sportswear with 7 hairs, he's the symbolic figure for 7-UP. After making the commercial with Jay Chou for Pepsi Cola, Yao Ming teams up with Fido to make a commercial for 7-UP, also a Pepsi product.

The recent commercial runs something like this:

It was dark at night in the subway station. There're two posters on the wall. Wanna guess whose? Yao Ming and Fido, of course. After a train rockets through, Yao Ming disappears from his poster! And then we see him throwing the basketball away and running to Fido. Afterwards, both had a 7-up bottle in hands, and in the bubbles, Fido tells the audience: "It doesn't matter if it's big or small, it's always nice to be happy."

Is this commercial shown in China only? Is there any link to it?

I don't know. The information is taken from this article several days ago, which I passed because I didn't understand it at first.

http://china.yaoming.net/51/48/news213054851.shtml (in Chinese)

Xraymom, do I have to provide links from now on, even if they are in Chinese? I'll try.

XrayMom & SinoBBall

Sinobball,as usual, thanks very much for those verrrrry up-to-date news about Yao Ming !!!! Keep those nice photos and information flowing in !!!! :P :P :P :P :P

As to those web linkage to the Chinese website, I think there is no harm at all to attach it for the benefits for those posters that have Chinese character display capability in their systems and that they can read/understand Chinese to read those news. For others who can't read/understand Chinese, they could just ignore clicking onto those web link. XrayMom, do you agree ???  8) 8)
