If this isn't proof of continued discrimination against Asians... i don't know what other proof is needed.
Lin was basically on par with Poole in the G-League. When Poole came back to the NBA from the G-League, he was getting starter minutes and putting up 20ppg.
Lin is 32 years old and has durability issues. Every other player in the top 10 scoring is under the age of 24 and is being looked at for future potential more than being able to contribute to the current season.

Yes. Tsai is likely to pick him up. I don't think there's any problem with that. The GM signing Lin in Charlotte is also an Asian.
Lin has good relationships with Tsai, Nash and D'Antoni. If they haven't even just brought him in for a workout by now, then they have no interest in signing him.
Right. I suppose Tsai and Lin have known each other long time ago.
So he's in grave danger. Only less than a qtr of the season left. If he hasn't been called up, he's likely done.

Who the hell is this Mike James? Oh, another 30+ year old guard who played one NBA season in 2017.
So, now the NBA has 30-year-olds Brad Wanamaker and Mike James. Saying Lin is too old for the NBA isn't a valid argument.
Oh, you know who's getting assaulted in Brooklyn everyday? the Asians.

You need to look at more than just the age. Lin has altered his game to account for his loss of athleticism...he moves less, deliberately slows down the pace of the game, doesn't slash as much, keeping defenders on his hip rather than blowing past them, etc. The Brooklyn Nets play in the exact opposite style now...pace is very fast, lots of movement, etc. I haven't seen Mike James play, so don't know how he will fit...but I know that Lin right now is not a good fit for how the Nets play. And beyond that, the last thing the Nets need right now is a player with durability issues...the main thing that might keep the Nets from a championship this season is health and durability on the roster.

As the owner, Joe has the ability to fire the Nets GM. But why would he? The Nets GM has done an amazing job.
And fwiw, Joe Tsai has the ability to force the GM to give Lin a contract, too. But there is a reason why he doesn’t.

I understand why because his younger brother is in the Taiwanese league and doing pretty well. But if he goes back, let's say back to Beijing Ducks, he's back to CBA again. He just struggled to get out of that swamp.
He has made steady progress to get back his status. G-league is still better than CBA. He finished 3rd in CBA last yr and finished 3rd in G-league. All he needs to do right now is be patient and keep waiting I think.

From the above article, it appears that his going back to Asia has more to do with wanting to use his platform as a positive influence for Chinese people and sports rather than any kind of attempt to get back into the NBA. I'm guessing he'll wait to decide til after FA starts for the NBA this summer, but barring any interest from teams in this off-season, there really isn't any reason to think that a team would try to pick him up after the G-League season next year...he'll be a year older, probably even less durable than he was this year.

The reason why Lin would be a bad fit for an NBA locker room is because of what he wrote on his Facebook page,

The blacks want to maintain their dominance in basketball. There are many Carmelo Anthonys in the league.
