The 2020-21 CBA season just started. It seems this year, nearly every team does NOT have foreign import players. CBA teams playing just domestic players now. Perhaps why Lin wasn't re-signed with Ducks?
Also, Wang Zhizhi's Bayi Rockets team folded.

Lin has no interest staying in CBA for another season. His career has been seriously ruined with it. All his stats are awfully shrinking. So he MUST get out of it.

The Jeremy Lin guy is not up to par with CBA standards. There are so many PG in the CBA that are way better.

On the court it may be true, but off the court nobody is more influential than Lin. He was basically the whole spotlight last season and generated tons of buzz more than any other players. If he's gone, there's no reason to pay attention to CBA anymore.

Yao Ming, Yi Jianlian and Guo Ailun have way more attention than Jeremy Lin.

China/chinese not that much into basketball, they are looking at e-sports and video game market. games like genshin impact dominating the GLOBAL market.

We may never see a Chinese player in the nba ever again. With mutual US-China travel bans even Yao Ming may not be able to enter US even if he wanted to.

All nba players are banned from China anyway.
