The NBA is cruel and very realistic. When they see you, as a journey man, injure multiple times and tell the world in front of the camera that you are DONE, then they will drop you without doubt. This is pure BUSINESS.

Yao is about the same. His career finally ended with injuries. When you are injured as a Pro, your market value will straightly go down like a personal stock downfall.Hope he won't hurt anymore in CBA.

He's a little bit different with Marbury. Marbury was still at his prime time when he was kicked out of the league. He lost his father and got involved in the scandal with NY Knicks and Thomas. But he was still healthy and able to play.

Yep, you are correct. Probably no reason for you to stick around here. Good luck with whatever you do, wherever you decide to go.

In the movie Linsanity, he described the scene of firing him at GSW. Basically it's like---You need to leave this building now. We need to drop you in order to acquire Jordan. Good luck buddy!

It's like a kick on the stomach.

Sorry...didn't mean to kick you in the stomach. Best of luck to you.

It appears that Lin had made the decision to play for Beijing back in July:

https://www.scmp.com/sport/basketball/a ... uro-league

"Lin’s marketing CEO Patricia Sun said that Lin was going to post on Chinese video site Douyin to announce the decision.
“They called me mid-July and he was like ‘Let’s just do CBA. I’m gonna put this on Douyin.’ And I was just like ‘OK, wait, wait, wait, let’s have some conversations with teams first and let’s weigh out the options and see what’s going on.’”

Lin said that he was made offers from teams in Russia, Israel and the Euro League, which he was advised to consider.

“My agent said if you really want to return to the NBA the best way is with these very good Euro League teams,” he said. But that was not the path he chose.

“We’ve known that it probably wouldn’t be Europe, even if Europe gives us a better chance to go back to the NBA. I think he knows that,” Sun explained. “China is the best next step,” she said."

His agent says it's a kick, in the movie. BTW, his agent is very weak.

His agent played professional basketball. I'm sure he has plenty of strength.

I mean his professional skill. Yes, he's strong physically but he let him be dropped to the D-league for so many times and couldn't get him a good contract.

On the contrary, his coaches in college are very elite and good to him, especially the assistant coach. He followed Lin's professional career path all the way and watched a lot of his games. Of course, during Linsanity, he attracted attentions of the whole world probably.

Just like American-born Vietnamese soccer player, Lee Nguyen, who went to his parent's motherland to play in the country's domestic soccer league -- he became the biggest star and highest paid player in Vietnam.

That's usually true b/c 3rd-world countries' sport is still far behind US, no matter basketball, soccer or baseball, hockey, etc. That's also true for the entertainment industry. Bruce Lee, Donnie Yenn, Jet Li, Lihong Wang, Daniel Wu, Crystal Liu went back to HK or China and became the biggest stars there.

The US itself is fact becoming a 3rd world country. When all the countries stop accepting $US a fiat currency, the whole country will go down like Jeremy Lin.

China now is becoming a 4th-world country. Only China,Cuba, Vietnam, Laos and North Korea are ruled by communists on this planet.
