With his performance and stats in CBA, I doubt any NBA team will hire him. Remember players like J.R. Smith came back to play in NBA after he redeemed and proved himself once again in China. He was the scoring champion and all-star MVP. Even Yi was invited to be back after he won multiple championships and MVPs in CBA.
You really need to have very impressive and staggering experiences.
After 30 of 45 games, Lin averages 24pts/6r/6a and his team is the 8th of 20. This is the type of data showing he seems be ready to retire soon.

Found one place that referenced "$3M per year" but didn't specify the number of years. Maybe it's structured in a way that Lin can decide each year if he wants to continue?

I don't think his stats in the CBA have anything to do with whether or not any NBA team will be interested in signing him. Lin is a 31 year old player beyond his prime with a major injury in his career that question his durability. JR Smith was 26 years old when he went to China because of the NBA lockout. The year prior to the lockout, he had his 2nd best 3pt shooting season of his career and was ready to enter the prime of his career as an offensive threat. Yi (whose CBA stats are similar to Lin's) is a rare physical athlete...7ft tall with a tremendous vertical and great athleticism. Comparing Lin now to 26-yr-old JR Smith and physical freak of nature Yi is pretty ridiculous. Your expectations of Lin continue to be way out of wack with regards to reality.

There's a Chinese American called Nelson Chan who used to be a youtuber now plays Pro basketball in Macau. He's back to US too due to the epidemic there.

Where is Jeremy Lin at now? If he's in the US. Did he get quarantined at the airport for 14 days?

Does he need to? He's returning from Taiwan, not mainland China.

The rumor now is that---CBA is indefinitely delayed, and may gonna shorten the rest of the season, even cancel all the games due to the corona virus. Most expats are gone already, to escape from China. Lin is keeping working hard in SF, however he may not need to return anymore...
