Yeah I agree with you there, Jeremy always had a history of punching up. He was fighting battles he had no rights to fight, for groups that really wasn't looking out for his best interest. Lin also had too many latchers on parasites, from fans and his inner circle.

Lin was a singularity in the sports of basketball. To the western world, his every demand would seem ridiculous and breaking social norm. His agents will be fighting doubt, most agents wouldn't even take Lin, being more trouble than it's worth. Negotiating is a part of the agent's job. So, if you accept the narrative that Lin was asking for "too much" and inflexible on demands, then It's on you that is rigid and in the social prison.

China is giving Lin a lifeline. However, useless idiots will hate China for taking Lin away from NBA. because hating china is to be "punching down", the easy path for westerners keeping their head down.
