it's been 8 days, this (Lin to Sacto) rumor has not materialized. this, coupled w recent injuries among the PGs, has led to talks in "Land of Lakers" about LAL acquiring Lin LAL starting PG, L Ball, will be out > 6 weeks; reserve PG Rondo, out for the last 3 wks, has just begun practicing. SF Ingram will be playing the point, w SG stephenson as the backup LAL's record has been 5-10 since LBJ’s injury; during this slump, they have fell from 4th place to 10th place. LBJ is due to return in 2-3 wks.
after 43 games, in 10 th place in the WC, LAL are under the gun to get in the playoff, 8 th place or better.

According to Trevor Lane of Lakers Nation, KCP plus some development league ballers or future considerations Kentavious Caldwell-Pope would be enough to convince the Hawks to send Jeremy Lin to Los Angeles. Caldwell-Pope is only 25 and could still be part of the rebuilding process. However, it is highly likely that the Hawks will still demand at least a future second-round pick in return for the veteran point guard.

hot off the press, Indiana PG Victor Olidipo suffered a season-ending knee injury.
playoff-bound Indiana provides the best situation for J Lin

they're all older and not as good as KCP, who is young / good enough to be part of the re-building process.
