Perhaps, but I don't think Lin ever claimed to be a good fighter, so not sure why this is so important. And 2 vs. 1 isn't really a fair fight, either.

It was, probably, the first time that he had faced this higher level of competition / athleticism.
while not smooth nor graceful, he comes across as a hard-nose competitor;
i'll take that over those who are more athletic/skillful, but
deficient in BB IQ such as Yi or
forever in fear of getting hurt such as the lazy coward ZZW
