Lin could be traded this season. But no team out there has cap space, maybe Atlanta, but they're tanking hard. Makes no sense for them to get another pg.
Nets are stuck with Lin. Sounds like NetsDaily is trying to badmouth Lin and test the media. Getting Lin to the bench role.

Can't imagine the Nets trading Lin before the season starts. Atkinson will want him there to help continue with the culture/team stuff with all the new players coming in. And it's not like Crabbe had a great season last year...yes, he's got a big contract, so they'll want to play him, but he's a SG and I can see him coming off the bench to play next to Lin or Russell when the other guy comes off the court.
I can see the Nets trading Lin somewhere near the trade deadline if the lack of quality bigs on the team is a glaring weakness that is keeping them from winning.
Haven't seen anything on NetsDaily that is badmouthing Lin.

Well, the ONLY PLACE WHERE I read about a POSSIBLE TRADE of Jeremy by the Brooklyn Nets was from the following article by Zach Lowe of ESPN.
http://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/20144300
In that very very lengthy article, Zach Lowe sort of listed MULTIPLE SCENARIOS on how Kyrie Irving could be traded away from Cleveland Cavalier.
And in one of the so many scenarios, he SPECULATED that Denver Nuggets might be interested in Kyrie Irving, and could possibly pull in Brooklyn Nets for a 3-Team Deal which eventaully sends Jeremy to play alongside Lebron James at Cleveland Cavaliers.
But the guy admitted that there had been no indication that Brooklyn Nets would want to dump Jeremy like that, as the bond between Kenny Atkinson, Brooklyn's coach, and Jeremy runs deep, and the Nets want to see how D'Angelo Russell looks next to Lin.
Then Anthony Puccio of Nets Daily further wrote abut this Zach Lowe HYPOTHESIS, which I personally don't see it coming.

Zach Lowe is a Lin hater ever since he called Lin a Net Negative player and said Pat Beverley was better.
When even Bill Simmons said that Lin was at elite level at driving to the basket production, Lowe simply replied by saying that he doesn't look at those stats.
Lin fans are twitching from all the D'Lo > Lin remarks from NetIncome and Netsfaily.
But anyway, trading Lin for Nets this season does make sense from a business pov. Lin is now one of the better tradeable assets the Nets have. I personally would look to trade RH Jefferson.
Crabbe would be nice if he can play the wing SF.
Lin, DLO, Crabbe, PF, Mozgov.
Levert the 6th man.

it'll become obvious to Nets that D is too indifferent / lazy to be a PG.
But he can shoot; so D would look good playing SG along side to a PG like JLin

Yeah, but saying that Lin could be the trigger that makes a deal for Kyrie possible isn't really a negative...it's a positive, if anything, because it says that Lin is what makes the trade worthwhile for Cleveland.

Well, I did not say it was NEGAIVE BAD-MOUTHING on the articles of Zach Lowe or Anthony Puccio. I just said personally I don't see this trade going to happen, given the bond between Kenny Atkinson and Jeremy, and marketing/commerical wise, Brooklyn Nets had become pretty popular in the Greater China region because of Jeremy.

Agreed...no way it happens, especially if it's just for draft pick and expiring contracts. Lin is not untradable, but the Nets would have to get something pretty great in return...and Marks doesn't seem to be the kind of GM to go after big superstar names.

Jeremy Lin is the big name star he signed as GM. JLin is an international superstar. If you're talking about NBA-All-Star players, it'll be difficult for Marks to sign any of them because none of them would want to play for the Nets -- the last place team. Remember, playing in playoff games gives players additional income. So, it makes sense for the top tier players to look to sign for the top teams first.
