does anyone know if jeremy lin ever got his passport for taiwan?
i would love to see him and joseph team up together for the taiwan NT!
DON'T THINK Jeremy got his Taiwan passport.
THEROCIALLY he could, as unlike China, Taiwan does not enforce DUAL NATIONALITY , i.e. Taiwanese American can apply Taiwan passport without giving up his US passport.
Even Joseph Lin is employed as a US expat in the Fubong Braves in the Taiwan’s Super Basketball League.

I BELIEVE SO !!!
He was last seen representing Fubon Braves 2 months ago in a tournament held in Macau involving teams from China, Taiwan, Japan and South Korea.

He seemed to be enjoying his stay there in Taiwan playing semi-professional basketball in SBL.
He had a couple of commercial endorsement contracts from Adidas, Tudor and others.

He's enjoying life there with a couple of close friends and team mates off the court.

Well, don't think he will be ELIGIBLE to play in CBA, due to his US citizenship.
Joseph Lin's skill level is considered above or on par with some of the Chinese guards, and therefore good enough to play in CBA, but not to the level of some of the expats who are most ex NBA players.
He's probably holding on to his US passport, and therefore UNLESS CBA teams are willing to sign him as an expat, due to the dual nationality rule of China, he needs to abandon his US citizenship, and applied for a Taiwanese passport, and be signed as a Taiwanese player which is considered same as local players.
DON'T THINK HE WILL DO THAT.

So CBA team can only have one expat ? If that's the case yeah it's gone be tough . Maybe through the summer league to showcase his skills.

No, every CBA team can have 2 expat, usually one interior player (i.e. position 4 or 5), and another exterior player (position 1, 2 or 3).
But the point is the CBA teams like to sign ex NBA players who can score tons of points, and as it is now, Joseph Lin's skills is on par or better than some of the CBA players, but deemed not as good as some of these ex NBA players and therefore don't think any CBA teams would consider signing him as an expat with the kind of $$$$$$ they're splashing out for those expats (usually at the range of US$1.5M to 3M).
